Amelia and I will be arriving in Chicago in just one
week, I can't believe it's so close! We're looking
forward to seeing everyone and I will have much to
report upon our return.
Amelia now has SIX teeth and she's not even six months old yet -- the girl is a barracuda! She started solids a couple weeks ago and is doing really well on them. So far she has had apples, bananas, pears, sweet potato and carrots. She absolutely hated the carrots but loved everything else so she is enjoying it. I spent most of Thursday cooking and pureeing up a storm, I'm making Millie's food from scratch for the most part. It's really fun, and good to know exactly what she's eating and that it's 100% healthy fruit and vegetables. I made a big batch of sweet potato, butternut squash and peas. Today I made pears and tomorrow will be apples. I'm a regular little Domestic Goddess / Betty Crocker now! Yeah, right..
I'm preparing myself for the long flight over with the baby, making lists of things to take and practicing my best 'ignoring the dirty looks' face. I'm sure there will be much eye-rolling and cringing when I get on the plane with a baby but they will all just have to get over it -- we need to see Nana, Grandpa Bully, and Aunt Andrea, pronto!
She's actually very good and happy most of the time so I don't think we'll have too many problems. Hopefully she'll sleep for the last half of the flight since it will be her normal bedtime. I doubt I'll get any sleep, but I never do really, so I'm used to that.
Next time I update will be when we get back from the USA, so until then...
