Happy Halloween
Amelia and I got back from Indiana on October 21st and have been recovering from jet lag and unpacking all of the new clothes and toys we were given and bought while there. We had a fantastic time visiting with Aunt Andrea, Grandpa Bully, and Nana. They all adored her, of course, and got to see her at such a great age. While we were there she learned some new tricks and can now semi-crawl and pull herself up with a little support. She is sitting up without any support at all on her own which is great, as I have my lap back now! I can sit her on the floor to play instead of holding her all the time and she can explore lots of new things. She loves to bang on a pot with a wooden spoon and take the lid off and then put it back on again, in addition to the myriad of new toys she has to play with.

While we were in the US, she also got another tooth and yet another is on its way, peeking out. That brings the total up to EIGHT! I bought some baby toothpaste today so we can start brushing those toothy pegs tomorrow. I'm sure she'll just try to eat the toothbrush but we've got to start somewhere! In addition to new teeth, she has said her first word. On Monday, as I was doing the dishes and had Amelia in a high chair behind me, I heard 'ma ma' and turned around to see her smiling at me. I melted right there into the floor, I tell you, it was so sweet! I know she doesn't know that 'ma ma' is ME, but it sure feels nice to hear her say it. Now we're working on 'da da' so Paul doesn't feel left out, and also 'hi'. I can't believe she's starting to talk and pretty soon walk. It's going by so quickly...

There are LOTS of new pictures and video clips in the 'Millie' and 'Family' sections so be sure to check those out too. Happy Halloween!
